‘No differing views when country is attacked’
Pune: NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday said that there can be differences of opinion in politics, but not on national security issues.
He was speaking at function to felicitate senior socialist leader Raosaheb Pawar on his 81st birthday in Purandar.

"The Pahalgam attack was on the people of India. Now, it is the responsibility of citizens to ensure that there are no divisions. There is only one stand, which is to keep the country united. Central govt called an all-party meeting after the terrorist attack. Supriya Sule represented our party at that meeting where the Defence Minister and Home Minister took a sensible stance. They acknowledged that there was a shortcoming on our part," he said.
He said some people follow paths suggested by the wrong teachings of our neighbouring country, but a majority does not back it. "The nation needs the cohesive power of all religions and castes. Efforts to make our country the strongest are necessary. We have only one stance__ keep the nation united," he said.
